Connect your AI

Connect the AI assistant you already use to InterCut Studio for free. Type what you want; the assistant reads your open project and does the edit for you.

How it works

InterCut Studio offers editing tools to your assistant through MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard. The assistant connects to the app running on your computer. Its changes appear live in your project.

  • Every change the assistant makes shows up as a single step in the History list. You can undo it with Ctrl+Z.
  • What the assistant sees (for example the transcript and video frames) goes to the AI provider you chose. This flow does not pass through InterCut servers.

Steps

  1. In InterCut Studio, open Settings › AI.
  2. Turn on MCP.
  3. Pick the client you use from the list.
  4. Click Connect. The app adds the InterCut Studio entry to the client’s configuration file without touching your other settings.
  5. Check the connection with Test connection.
  6. Restart the client as described in the “After connecting” column below.
